I am a semi-retired computer programmer.  I am trying to fill my time (and my pocketbook) with textile related activities.  I haven't been very successful, but I'm having a good time.  My partner and I bought a house on 5 acres about a year ago.  Here's a picture of the back of the house with our amazing view.

The place also has a barn and fenced in pasture.  We moved our 2 llamas in after some fence repairs.  We had a couple dramatic escapes and sent them off to foster care while we did MORE fence repairs.  No escapes for a year now, so I think we have it down.  Here's the barn.

In January we added 5 retired dairy goats.  A friend needed to get rid of them and we thought it would give us a chance to see if we like goats before embarking on any goat related projects.  My partner fell in love with the kids at the county fair and has been fixated on goats ever since.  Turns out 5 adult goats are a little different.  Here's part of the herd.  One of the goats is shy.

Besides the animals and the very supportive partner, I have 2 kids (human) and a cat.  Taking my knitting to a higher level is one of my goals.  I am trying my hand at design and hope to take some art and design classes next fall.  I have enjoyed reading some of the knitting blogs and thought I'd try my hand at it.  Thanks for stopping by.
