I have so many things on the needles right now!
I have started working through the 'Knitting Ganseys' book by Beth Brown Reinsel. I took a workshop from Beth last year on knitting Arans from the top down and bought the Gansey book then. I have some yarn in the basement that I think would make a nice Gansey and expect to cast on for my own in a week or so. Here's the sampler, my test swatch and the start of my design graph.
I started a jacket (for lack of a better term) out of lace weight yarn from Blackberry Ridge. It is taking a long time, but everyone that sees me working on it loves it, so it may be worth it. I intended to publish this design, but I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to knit it, so it will remain one of a kind. The jacket is knit from the top down. After I finish the bodice and sleeves the rest will be lace and should go much faster.
I had a whole bunch of little colored balls of roving from a dying workshop. I spun it all up, plied it with gray wool to pull the whole thing together and started a Faroese garter stitch shawl. I continued with solid gray when I ran out of the colored stuff, and set the whole thing aside when I ran out of gray. I did get out the spinning wheel and I think I have enough spun up now to finish. Actually it will be enough. I'll just block the shawl to be long enough because I'm tired of this one.
The June shawl kit arrived. The pattern describes it as a scarf, but give directions for a shawl as well. Since I have never worn scarves, I think this will be another shawl.
