TEAM MATCH: The team match will not be a separately fired match; individual scores will be used. Teams will consist of four (4) members representing a club.
CLASSIFICATION: The NRA Classification system will be used. Classification will be determined by classification card or temporary score record book. Unclassified competitors will shoot in the master Class. Teams will be classified according to Rule 19 .12.
ENTRIES: Entries will be limited to three relays (14 competitors per relay). Post entries will be accepted on a space available basis. Since the team match is a tabulation from individual scores, team entries must made prior to any member of the team firing.

(this is also called Willow Avenue) to 12th street (about 3
miles). The basketball arena will be on your right at this corner
and you can also see the football stadium as you look east along
12th street. Turn right and proceed to the west side of the
stadium. The rifle range is on the second floor of the north end
of the west side of the stadium.

ENTRY FEES: $11.00 per individual who is a current member of the BEND OF THE RIVER. This fee covers all NRA fees, targets and rifles. Rifles available will be the M-1 Garand . Entry fee for non BEND OF THE RIVER members will be $15.OO which only covers NRA fees and targets.

Sectionals are registered matches. All guidelines for registered matches will be followed. They are operated by match staff composed of local officials. All local challenges and protests are to be resolved on the match site according to procedures outlined in section 16 of the Smallbore Rifle Rule Book. The 2004 National Indoor Championship is determined by scores fired in the local Sectional Tournaments, which are compiled at NRA Headquarters. For the purpose of the National Championship, the National Match Director may require that any or all fired targets from any sectional be sent to NRA Headquarters for rescoring under the provisions of Rule 16. l(d). All fired targets must be retained until the challenge period for the National Indoor Championship Final Result Bulletin has ended, two weeks after the bulletin is mailed to all competitors

SCORE CARDS: Special score cards will be used and MUST BE SIGNED BY THE COMPETITOR TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE NATIONAL BULLETIN. If no category is circled, a competitor or team will be placed in the Civilian category. If no classification is circled, a competitor or team will be placed in the Master class. NRA member number must be filled in to validate the score.

SIGHTS AND TARGETS: Any Sights; A-36/2003 Targets
ELIGIBILITY: A competitor (individual or team) may enter more than one Open 3-Position Sectional tournament in 2006. However, the individual MUST declare before firing if the Sectional being fired is for score only or for the National Championship. Competitors may enter other types of Sectionals if eligibility limitations permit. Competitors entering for "score only" are NOT eligible for awards in the local sectional or the National Championship.
A foreign competitor is eligible to participate on the Sectional and National level (Rule 2.1.1), however, only U.S. citizens may win the First, Second and Third Place National Individual and Team Championship awards.
A team will consist of four (4) firing members representing a club or group as defined by Rules 2.11, 2.13 or 2.14. Pick up teams, teams composed of shooters who cannot prove A team composed of shooters who are not al I the same category is a mixed team. Mixed teams in Sectionals may fire for Open awards only. Since team matches are unfired (paper team match), all teams MUST be named and entered BEFORE any member of the team begins individual firing. Alternates must also be named before firing and used to substitute only for someone who has not yet fired.
CATEGORIES: In Match 5 of the Sectionals, separate class awards will be given by NRA in each of two categories - Civilian and Service (subject to the conditions of the Sectional Award Schedule). NRA Rules governing categories used in Sectionals are as follows: Service (2.5, 2.6, 2.7). All others will compete as Civilian (Rule 2.2).
In the National Individual and Team Championships, separate class awards will also be given by NRA in each of two categories - Civilian and Service. Same rules indicated for categories in the Sectionals apply to Nationals.
CLASSIFICATION: Each individual competitor will be placed in one class according to the NRA Classification System and shall be prepared to exhibit his classification card or Temporary Score Record Book. Unclassified competitors will fire in the Master Class if they do not have an assigned classification (Rule 19.6). Teams will be classified according to rule 19.12.
SOUVENIR PINS: Sponsor will furnish a pin to each competitor.
CHALLENGES: A challenge fee of $1.00 will be charged for each challenge made. (See Rule 16.1 for correct procedure).
ENTRIES: Individuals - Entries in individual matches will be made by submitting the enclosed registration and entry card accompanied by check or money order. Be sure to indicate date and time you wish to fire. Be sure to indicate correct NRA Indoor Classification. TEAM ENTRIES: Team participation should be indicated on individual entry cards. Team entries must be made in person at the Statistical Office before any member fires a shot, as the team match is a "paper" match, not fired.
ENTRIES CLOSE: Individual match entries must be received no later than the Monday February 2, 2004. Team match entries may be made any time prior to the start of firing.
POST ENTRIES: Post entries will be accepted up to the capacity of the range, provided such entries will not require extra relays.
ENTRIES LIMITED: Entries are limited to 42 competitors which is the capacity of the range for the time allotted. Persons making entries within the time limit which cannot be accepted will be notified and their fees will be returned.
FEES: Individual $15 . Team $10/team. (Which includes the $8 to be sent to the NRA for each individual and $8 for each team.)
SIGHTING SHOTS: Unlimited sighting shots will be allowed in all matches and at all stages and must be taken within the time limit (Rule 8.2).
SQUADDING: Will be assigned by the Stat Office. Please state preferred time of firing. Teams are not required to be squaded together to fire as a unit.
TIME LIMITS: Individual matches NRA Rule 8.2a. Prone - 40 shots 40 min. Standing- 40 shots 80 min. Kneeling- 40 shots 60 minutes.
TIE BREAKING: Ties will be broken using Rule 15.7 (a), then 15.7 (e), then 15.7 (f) until ties are broken.

1. If there are fewer than 5 entries in a category they will be combined with entries of the other category within the same class.
2. If there are fewer than 5 entries after combining all the categories of a class, there will be no awards provided in that class and all competitors in the lower class will be moved to their respective category in the next higher class..
3. If there are fewer than 5 entries in the Master class the Masters will shoot for open awards only.
EXAMPLE: If there are 6 Service and 2 Civilians in the Marksman class, no awards would be provided for Civilian category/Marksman class, and the Civilian shooters would be combined with the 6 Service shooters for a total of 8 entries. Three awards would be given in the Service/Civilian category, Marksman class.
An individual or team winning a place award will not be entitled to a class award in the same match. Such class awards will be passed down to the next eligible individual or team.
NRA SMALLBORE RIFLE DISTINGUISHED AWARD: A leg toward the NRA Smallbore Position Distinguished Award can be earned by winning a place in the top scoring 10% on the national level.

ELIGIBILITY: Competitors must be members of the NRA and the TnSSA. Junior competitors may be members of an affiliated club. A competitor must be a resident of Tennessee to be eligible for the Tennessee State Champion Award.
TEAM MATCH: The team match will not be a separately fired match; individual scores will be used. Teams will consist of four (4) members representing a club or Service Unit. Mixed teams (members from different categories) are eligible for open awards only.
CLASSIFICATION: The NRA classification system will be used. Classification will be determined by classification card or temporary score record book. Unclassified competitors will shoot in the master class. Teams will be classified according to Rule 19.12. Open and class awards will be given based on the awards schedule.

Sectionals are registered matches. All guidelines for registered matches will be followed. They are operated by match staff composed of local officials. All local challenges and protests are to be resolved on the match site according to procedures outlined in section 16 of the International Air Rifle Rule Book. The 2004 National Indoor Championship is determined by scores fired in the local Sectional Tournaments, which are compiled at NRA Headquarters. For the purpose of the National Championship, the National Match Director may require that any or all fired targets from any sectional be sent to NRA Headquarters for rescoring under the provisions of Rule 16. l(d). All fired targets must be retained until the challenge period for the National Indoor Championship Final Result Bulletin has ended, two weeks after the bulletin is mailed to all competitors

SCORE CARDS: Special score cards will be used and MUST BE SIGNED BY THE COMPETITOR TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE NATIONAL BULLETIN. If no category is circled, a competitor or team will be placed in the Civilian category. If no classification is circled, a competitor or team will be placed in the Master class. NRA member number must be filled in to validate the score.

TARGETS: NRA Official 10 meters; AR-5/10 series
ELIGIBILITY: A competitor (individual or team) may enter more than one International Air Rifle Sectional tournament in 2006. However, the individual MUST declare before firing if the Sectional being fired is for score only or for the National Championship. Competitors may enter other types of Sectionals if eligibility limitations permit. Competitors entering for "score only" are NOT eligible for awards in the local sectional or the National Championship.
A foreign competitor is eligible to participate on the Sectional and National levels (Rule 2.1.1), however, only U.S. citizens may win the first, second, and third place National Individual and Team Championship awards.
NOTE: All individuals who have declared they are competing for Sectional score, their individual and team scores fired in said Sectionals will be allowed for the National Ranking. NRA will provide Sectional awards only if more than one club in represented in both individual and team competition at the Sectional.
CATEGORIES: A special Woman's Award will be presented to the High Woman in the National Individual Championship only.
CLASSIFICATION: Each competitor will be classified according to the NRA International Classification system and must be prepared to exhibit a current International Classification Card or Score Record Book upon registration. Unclassified competitors will fire in the Master class (Rule 19.6). Teams will be classified according to Rule 19.19.
SOUVENIR PIN: NRA provides sponsors with participation pins to be given to each competitor.
CHALLENGES: A challenge fee of $1.00 will be charged for each challenge made. (See Rule 16.1 for correct procedure).
TIES: Ties will be broken according to current NRA Smallbore Rifle Rules. (Rule 15)

TEAM ENTRIES: Team participation should be indicated on individual entry cards. Team entries must be made in person at the Statistical Office before any member fires a shot, as the team match is a "paper" match, not fired.
A team will consist of three (3) firing members representing a club or group as defined by Rule 2.11, 2.13, or 2.14. Pick up teams composed of shooters who cannot prove membership in the same club or group (Rule 2.10), will not be allowed to participate. Since team matches are unfired (paper team match), all teams must be named and entered before any member of the team begins individual firing. Alternates must also be named before firing and used to substitute only for someone who has not yet fired.
ENTRIES CLOSE: Individual match entries must be received no later than then January 15th. Team match entries may be made any time prior to the start of firing.
POST ENTRIES: Post entries will be accepted up to the capacity of the range, provided such entries will not require extra relays.
ENTRIES LIMITED: Entries are limited to 42 competitors which is the capacity of the range for the time allotted. Persons making entries within the time limit which cannot be accepted will be notified and their fees will be returned.
FEES: Individual $15. Team $10/team. (Which includes the $8 to be sent to the NRA for each individual and $8 for each team.)
SQUADDING: Will be assigned by the Stat Office. Please state preferred time of firing. Teams are not required to be squadded together to fire as a unit

Relay 5 Saturday Air Rifle 6 PM 8 PMFIRING REGULATIONS FOR MATCHES: Since Sectional scores are to be used to determine National Champions, all Sectionals MUST be conducted in the prescribed manner.
1. In the individual match 60 shots are fired for record. AR-5 series targets may be used. Only one shot is allowed per bullseye. If range facilities permit, two targets for the match using AR-5/5 or AR-5/10 may be mounted simultaneously. AR-5/1 single bull targets are also permitted.
2. SIGHTING SHOTS: Unlimited number. They may only be fired before the beginning of the match.(Rule 9.2)
3. Shooting time allowed includes sighting shots. (Rule 7.4 (b), 2; Rule 8.1)
4. No added matches or practice firing are to be permitted prior to the Sectional Matches.
5. After record targets for a relay have been properly mounted, a three (3) minute preparation period will be given before the "Commence Firing" command.
6. Rule 6.2.1 (b) Allow target height to be adjustable to take into account different shooter sizes.

TEAM MATCH: The team match will not be a separately fired match; individual scores will be used. Teams will consist of four (4) members representing a club.
CLASSIFICATION: The NRA Classification system will be used. Classification will be determined by classification card or temporary score record book. Unclassified competitors will shoot in the master Class. Teams will be classified according to Rule 19 .12.
ENTRIES: Entries will be limited to three relays (14 competitors per relay). Post entries will be accepted on a space available basis. Since the team match is a tabulation from individual scores, team entries must made prior to any member of the team firing.
FEES: Individual fees $8.00; No team fees.
