COOKEVILLE, TN - David Hargis coasted to an easy victory
in the MAY PISTOL 'POSSUM ROUNDUP held recently at the Bend of
the River shooting range. It was a 2700 bullseye conventional
pistol match. Hargis had a 2523-70X. Second place went to Greg
Atchley from Cookeville with a 1931-16X. Third went to Bruce
Andrews from Cookeville with 537. It really was not a good match
up. Hargis has been shooting bullseye matches for several years
and the others were shooting for the first time. Atchley and
Andrews shot their all time high. Hargis has had higher scores.
It was a nice day for a shoot. It was partly cloudy with
a threat of rain. The low light condition of the cloudy skies
made the sights shine. Andrews and Atchley were using new or
borrowed guns and had trouble getting the sights set. Every
one said that they would come back next month and do better.

high power rifle match on June 1st. In this match, you must use
