FOR RELEASE: nowHARGIS ON A ROLL COOKEVILLE, TN - David Hargis managed to continue his winning streak for another mach. Hargis having just returned from the National Matches at Camp Perry Ohio extended his winning by out scoring all comers. Hargis had a 2574. Close in second place was Robert Carden from Andersonville with a fine 2403. Greg Atchley from Cookeville was third with 2133.
Jack Stanford from Celina and Bruce Andrews from Cookeville withdrew after the centerfire portion of the match because of the heat. It was HOT. Stanford managed a 1217 and Andrews had a 787.
It was really hot and humid. Every one felt the effects of the heat. Everyone managed to get better as the match progressed. Hargis only managed two 100s, but he had a bunch of scores over 97. Stanford was shooting for the first time and had a great time.
