GENERAL CONDITIONS: State Championships are registered matches. All guidelines for registered matches         will be followed.

 

INDIVIDUAL MATCHES – Open to any individual who meets the eligibility requirements of NRA Rule 2.3.

 

INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES – Only one category may be entered.

ENTRIES CLOSE: Individual match entries must be received no later than Monday March 1, 2010. Team match entries may be made any time prior to the start of firing the team match.

 

ENTRIES LIMITED: Entries are limited to 20 competitors which is the capacity of the range for the time allowed. Persons making entries within the time limit which cannot be accepted will be notified and their fees will be returned

NRA Membership Number – NRA membership is not required. In order to enter scores of competitors in the computer classification system, an NRA number must be used. If you are a member of NRA, indicate you membership number. If you are not an NRA Member, use your classification card number if one has been assigned. If a special number has not been assigned, NRA will assign one when an accumulation of shots is sufficient (Rule 19.15)

 

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: These matches are designated as State Championship Matches in their respective disciplines for 2010 by the Tennessee Shooting Sports Association. TNSSA membership is not required, but it is strongly encouraged. Adult membership is $15 and Junior membership is $5 per year. Membership applications will be available at the match.

 

SCORING: Scoring will be done by the Sectional Statistical Office and all doubtful shots will be plugged. Scoring on all air rifle shots will be done with the “OUTWARD” Gauge. (NRA International Rifle Rules, 14.3 (b), except inner tens and shots in the one and two ring) (NRA Position Air Rifle Rule 14)

 

CHALLENGES: A challenge fee of $1.00 per stage will be charged for each challenge made in any position Individual Match. In Team Matches a challenge fee of $4 will be charged. A charge of $3.00 per individual or $12 per team will be made to challenge another person or team’s score. A 30 Minute challenge period will begin after all targets are scored and available to all shooters. See Rule 16.1 for correct procedure.

 

SIGHTING SHOTS: Unlimited sighting shots will be allowed in all matches and at all stages and must be taken within the time limit (Rule 8.2).

 

SQUADDING: Will be assigned by the Stat Office. Please state preferred time of firing. Teams are not required to be squadded together to fire as a unit.

 

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

            State Champion: The Tennessee resident firing the highest score overall will receive the First Place                             Trophy (minimum of 5 competitors)

            2nd place: The Tennessee resident firing the second highest score overall will receive the Second Place                                  Trophy             (minimum of 10 competitors)

 

An individual or team winning a place award will not be entitled to a class award in the same match. Such class awards will be passed down to the next eligible individual or team. Class winner will receive certificates.

 

CLASS AWARDS:

            2 – 4 entries                1st place

            5 – 10 entries              2nd place

            11 – 15 entries                        3rd place

            16 – 20 entries                        4th place

 

Categories will only be combined when there are less than two competitors or one team representing the category. Categories are established only after the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall winners are removed from the competitor pool.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3-POSITION SMALLBORE

COURSE OF FIRE: 20 shots in each of the following positions: prone, standing, and kneeling. One shot per bull’s-eye. The positions must be fired in the order listed above.

 

DISTANCE FIRED: Fifty Feet

 

RIFLE: Rule 3.2

 

SIGHTS AND TARGETS: Any Sights; NRA/USA 50

 

FEES: $15

 

SIGHTING SHOTS: Unlimited sighting shots will be allowed in all matches and at all stages and must be taken within the time limit (Rule 8.2).

 

INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES: Open (NRA membership is not required.)

 

TIME LIMIT: PRONE - 1 minute per record shot, STANDING – 2 minutes per record shot, KNEELING – 1.5 minutes per record shot (Rule 8.2) Each 20 shot stage (position) will be timed separately. There will be a 5 minute equipment change and a 3-minute preparation period between stages (Rule 8.2)

 

 

INTERNATIONAL AIR RIFLE SECTIONAL

COURSE OF FIRE: 60 shots standing, one shot per bull’s-eye.

 

DISTANCE FIRED: 10 meters

 

RIFLE: Air Rifle - Rule 3.6

 

SIGHTS: Metallic - Rule 3.7

 

SIGHTING SHOTS: Rule 9.2

 

TARGETS: NRA Official 10 meters; AR-5 series must be used

 

FEES: $15

 

TIME LIMITS: 20 Minutes per target

 

INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES: Juniors (NRA membership is not required.)

 

 

AIR PISTOL MATCH

COURSE OF FIRE: 40 shot standing, 5 shots per bull

 

DISTANCE FIRED: 10 meters

 

RULES: NRA Pistol Rules

TIME: You will be give a total of 96 minutes (30 minutes per target including sighters plus two - 3 minute segments for target change) You will be shooting a 4 bull target. Target 1 will be for sighters. Targets 2, 3 and 4 will be for record.

 

FEES: $15

            Follow Malloneyville road .8 miles. You will go around sharp right curve and old                                     prison – the range will be on the Right. It has a yellow sign. Go through the   fenced in area and in the front door. Check in will be in the class room to the right.
