The highest point of my journalism career (literally) was my flight in an RF-4C Phantom. I wrote a newspaper article about the experience. Click on the photo for more details.

I've always loved airplanes, and I wanted to be a pilot. Someday I'll finally take flying lessons, but I've gotten to fly a number of times already...

Above is a picture I shot of myself several years ago when I got to fly in Tom Henley's P-51, which his sons now fly as the "Alabama Rammer Jammer" at airshows. Mr. Henley, who has since passed away, was kind enough to take me up in his P-51 for me to write a newspaper story about the Bessemer airshow. Below is when we were boarding the aircraft.
