Samples of My Experiment On Metal Leafing: 2

Vinegar: This ring mark is from a paper towel damped into vinegar. I squeezed and twisted the paper towel and made a circle, leave it on the leafed surface about 15 min.

Vinegar: Damped a paper towel into vinegar. Squeeze it and flattened it over the leaf. But this time, flattened the paper towel with wrinkles left. Put the weigh on and waited 1 hour. Silver leaf was also applied on the left side.

Vinegar: Another examples of vinegared paper towel flattened on the leaf.

Vinegar: Strong vinegar reaction on black base coat with acrylic paint underneath the composition leaf. Put the vinegared paper towel on the leaf, weigh it for 12 hours.

Texture: BEFORE applying gold leaf, I put Golden Gel Medium (Heavy Gel Gloss) with a paint knife on the illustration board. And then applied gold leaf on top of this dried gel medium.

Texture: BEFORE applying gold leaf, I put Golden Gel Medium (Light Molding Paste) with a paint knife on the illustration board. And then applied gold leaf on top of this dried gel medium.

Texture: Paint the base coat with acrylic green pigment first. Applied gold leaf on top of it. Then put some vinegar. Finally I used a sand paper for the scratched marks.

Combination: Combination of silver and gold leaf. Silver leaf was cut and applied on top of gold leaf. It also shows vinegar reaction as well as Golden Gel Mediums (Course Pumice Gel).

Combination: I painted base coat with various pigments and colors first. Then left side, I applied gold leaf and added vinegar. And then sprinkled the left over broken gold leaf and its fragments which appear shiner.
