Here are a few shots taken at our cabin at the lake.
Cabin with a million Dollar View.
Only the spectre of starvation keeps us from staying here 24/7.
These are shots of Myrtle the Turtle.
Actually a California (Western Mojave) Desert Tortoise.
Myrtle has been a member of the family for more than 35 years.
Speaking of reptiles, here is the hide of a rattler we found at the lake. He was stalking a little frog down at the dock, and just about took a bite out of me in the process. This guy was about two feet long with seven buttons on the buzzing end, and inch-long fangs at the business end.
Last Fall, Dana bought a new car. It's quite a change from her trusty old Celica.

Wild Bill Hickok's favorite side arm was the Colt's Navy revolver - commonly called the model of 1851. We've got one just like his, and it is a genuine blast to fire off a few rounds now and then.
Here it is Halloween again, so of course I have a shot of the 2004 jackolantern. Just in case you forgot, there are photos of the past four year's creations as well.
One Labor Day weekend we happened upon an annual event in Spokane WA. Basically, it is a county fair without all of the foolishness. There was ALL of the fair type food, a few live bands with great music, and nothing else! No animals, no tacky exhibits . . . . just a whole lotta great junk food. Heaven! Since it was lunch time, we were very good patrons of Pigout In the Park
After the first round of Gyros and Coney Island dogs, we took a gondola ride through Riverfront park, and over the Spokane River. Here are a few shots of the view.

Photo 15 is T-Plant. The chemical extraction facility that processed the raw material from B-reactor into refined plutonium.
Photo 16 is the Fast Flux Test Facility. I worked there for several years during construction, startup and operation. There is some more info on this liquid metal cooled hi-tech reactor at this link: FFTF .
