everyone was tired from a long wet day of riding and we all went our separate ways.

The next morning I was awoken about 6 am to pouring rain, hip hip hooray, another day of rain filled riding. Around 9 am it stopped raining long enough so I could get my bike ready to roll without getting to wet before the 180 mile ride home. As I’m packing up my bike the old man who was staying in the room next to came out to say hi and see what I was up to. I explained a little about our adventures the day before in the rain. He got
quite the chuckle out of the whole story and at the end asked  "Why?". The only reply I could come up with is "Something to do". He chuckled again and I got back to packing. About 9:30 all loaded up and reedy to go
I shut the cell phone off, can’t hear it on the road anyway. Then start heading out of town, I was going to stop by Lee’s on the way out but it was Sunday morning and I wasn’t exactly sure if they where the church going type or not so I just headed out of town. As I hit the edge of Watertown I was greeted by pea soup fog.
I thought to myself now this truly is the way to end my first Iron Butt event. After about 40 miles of that I was greeted in MN with rain the last 140 miles home in 50 degree weather. At this point I was EXTREMELY happy I bought that electric vest before this trip. Upon arriving home and seeing all my pretty chrome not so pretty.
and thinking of the events of the last couple days I do believe I earned that plate!

Final Lesson learned:

10. I don’t care what Lee says I’ll take my 1400 over that 650 anyday on a ride like that,my ass got sore just watching him.
