Start with a good photograph or shoot with a digital camera. If you are going to scan, be sure both your photo and the scanner glass are clean and free of dust. Use any window cleaner and lint-free paper (like you use for eyeglasses) to wipe the glass. Keep your fingers OFF the surface of the photos. Naptha seems to work on almost all types of photographs. Use with a cotton swab to remove soil, fingerprints, etc. Highly flamable, use with care and always test on an inconspicuous corner of the print first. Photographs sent to us to scan will not be returned unless you enclose a SSAE. Please run a spell check on your text. Read it aloud or give it to someone else to read before you send it.
