Wain's Homepage

green for the money, gold for the honeys

Disclaimer: I pretty much just use this page to track version info about the site.  If for some unknown reason you want to read news about what I'm up to (which I suppose is possible since you're looking at my website) check out my livejournal which is also linked in the nav bar.

Waintech.net version 3.2 is now under development.  I can't believe I'm sitting here doing this on my vacation...

On the upside, blogger has officially been nuked from my website.

Fixed up the table whackyness which was occuring in older versions of Netscape.  Of course Netscape still dosen't render the site exactly the way it's meant to be viewed, but at least the content column looks correct now.

I've also finally gotten around to integrating Blogger into the forums as well.  Should anyone like access to post on it, please just fire me off an e-mail.

A lesson to all you aspiring web developers out there... while it may seem like a good idea to just get a rough concept of your site... THEN incorporate things like stylesheets, you'll end up cursing yourself for it.

In any case, I'm sure by now, you've noticed the main page looks a bit different.  As previously refered to, it now runs partially from stylesheets.  I've also simplified the table code alot, and fixed up the custom scrollbar in IE. ...ohh how I long for server side includes...

Now, just to get the rest of the site to conform.  And yes, I promise, the forums will be converted to a BLOG ASAigati.
(...as soon as i get around to it)

Okay, so I have blogger integration somewhat up and running.  (Although, I have yet to address any archiving issues.)  In semi-related news the forums seem to have exploded on me.  Apparently my gold trial on EzBoard has expired, hence the plethora of ads popping up in recent days.  Also, I've heard people have been having problems getting their accounts registered.

Jeez, does it show my age that I can remember back to the good old days of EzBoard when it was completely free... (not to mention worked really well)  Anyway, I'm going to search for another free forum.

But in the mean time, back to Linux setsockopt R&D. Woo-hoo!
