| Notes for Martha Lou Whetsel |
Martha was an accomplished musician. She played the piano for her church and her family. She was a helpmate for her husband, in his farming and construction ventures. She fought a noble battle with cancer, which finally took her life in 1985, just 4 months after the death of her mother, Myrtle Hickam Whetsel. Martha left 3 children. Her daughter was just 16 years old at the time of her mother's death.
