|Lillie Mae Fincher Ledbetter managed the family and raised her children, with the help of a garden and orchard. She canned, made her own soap, made apple butter, stored vegetables in a root celler, raised pigs, cows, horses, geese, ducks, chickens and guineas.|
Lillie and William are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
William and Lillie had 10 children and 14 grandchildren. One son, James Ervin, attended seminary and pastored churches throughout Tennessee. Another son, Alonzo, lost his life in combat in WWII, in combat in Luxembourg, in 1944.
