Brown, who was the father in law of Susan Whetsel Brown Rowland, on February 16, 2006, at the Upper Gragg Cemetery, on Bays Mountain. The name and dates are quite readable; the tombstone is in excellent condition; and a scripture verse can be read at the bottom. A park ranger observed that Mr. Brown was well thought of, respected and loved, by family and neighbors, to have been given such a stone. All other graves in the cemetery are marked with a simple fieldstone. | ||||||||||
