| The 1900 Census found The Rev. Coleman Leonard Ledbetter, Jr., age 87, living in Sullivan County with his son, William Starks Ledbetter and his family. He died at the age of 91, in 1904. His family buried him in a small (now abandoned) cemetery at Valley View Methodist Episcopal Church, at Carter's Valley Road and Highway 4, at the top of the hill. His gravestone inscription reads, "Those who knew him best loved him most." |
