The Orange Blossom Special band performed largely during the 1970s and 1980s in Western Wisconsin and Minnesota. It was formed to play music that was no longer heard on country music radio stations, and for the dance crowd who so very much wanted good danceable country music.  The OBS Band has played for numerous dances, weddings, anniversaries, and have opened for many concert appearances including Barbara Mandrel, Grandpa Jones, Gene Watson, Mel Street, and Stonewall Jackson. After reforming in 2001 to record two albums, the band can once again be heard around the Western Wisconsin area playing a variety of traditional country, old time waltzes and polkas, and bluegrass music.
