My friend Dennis wanted to try to repair the plastics. These images show the right cowl repairs in progress. There'll probably be a lot more of these coming as we fix the plastic covers on the saddlebags and the front fender and left cowl.
This one is after removal but before repair. Note the split toward the rear of the cowl (left side of the image).
Here's the cowl with the split repaired and being sanded.
Now the repaired piece is being primered.
