circa -1350 Green elves start to spread to the continent from their island home.
circa -1300 Arrival of the Ratheeri humans.

Before this point, most of the history is conjecture since only the dwarves kept written records past this time, and they have never allowed outsiders to see the most ancient of their histories.  It is only with the arrival of the high elves that we have written records.  So far, very few written records from the time of the troll empire have been found.
-823 The first high elves settle in what will become Alquithar.
circa -650 Arrival of the Takesh humans.
-418 Arrival of the Hradir humans.
-245 First meeting of the Hradir and Takesh peoples.
-136 Creation of the Kingdom of Leureans.
1 The king of Anhkvaris proclaims himself an emperor, which the king of Telargen quickly copies in proclaiming himself an emperor also.
589 First hobgoblin tribe is allowed to settle in Anhkvaris as an ally.
634 Death of the emperor of Telargen, leaving a minor with a regency.
635 Beginning of the great war between the empires of Anhkvaris and Telargen.  In a surprise attack Anhkvaris invades Telargen and in a fast advance seize the major towns of Igen & Niez.  For more details on the war see here.
713 Most of the population of the town of Ibruli is destroyed by a mysterious plague, now called the Ibruli plague.
714-736 The Ibruli plague spreads to many lands.
723 Siege of the capital of Anhkvaris begins.
728 Final batter of the War of the Empires.  The besieging forces of Telargen calling upon immense amounts of magic, as well as avatars of their gods launch their final attack.  The destructive forces of magic and gods grows out of control leading to a gigantic explosion.  The capital of Ankhvaris along with the besieging army is entirely destroyed, killing the Emperor of Telargen.  Lands for miles around are reduced to scorched stone with magma pits created by rifts in the earth.
The after effects of this battle create magical storms that ravage the continent for the decade to come.  Magic, at least in it's old form becomes unstable.
728-748 War of Telargen succession as nobles and military leaders fight for the vacant throne.
729 General Schönig of Telargen leads his army into Alquithar (the elven realm) promising his men immense loot.  Though the fight is long and hard, the elves prevail over the general.
731 The elves of Alquithar, greatly weakened by the wars decide to move their capital further from the  lands of the old empires.  It will take them 24 years to fully move, though they retain outposts in the old lands in an attempt to keep out other races.
748 The empire of Telargen disintegrates into a number of petty holdings of local warlords.
775 First meeting of the Holy Council of Churches.
800-809 The Ibruli plague reappears, killing many.
836 Akelliath begins to mint it's own currency.
842 Leopold "the golden" takes control of Brudanz (former capital of Telargen), he claims to be a descendant of the old imperial family.
852 Leopold is proclaimed King of Neu-Brudanz.
897 The first Arcane Faire is held in secret.  The goals of the faire are to share knowledge and find ways of making magic acceptable again.  Though not much is agreed on here, they do agree to continue to have such gatherings every five years.
904 Rise of the Crimson Horde; a collection of criminals, barbarians and other lost souls, in the western lands of old Anhkvaris.
905 Nouvelle Vhaston founded by Seigneur Louis I.
967 Gnoll hordes overrun Havresc, the wounded king is carried away and survives.
977 Explorers discovered a dwarf hold that appears to have been sealed off from within, since the time of the War of the Empires.  A number of adventuring parties come to explore, but all are killed by an orc horde that takes over the hold after hearing of it's discovery.
978 Five dwarven clans from the ______ mountains ally in order to remove the orcs from the ancient dwarf hold discovered two years ago.
979 Current year
