Guide to the genealogy pages.
The genealogy pages have charts that show various families, below you will find an example as well as what it all means.
1 Henri (b850; d903)
11 Jean (b873; d921)
111 Francois (b905; d977)
12 Charles (b876; d955
12A Françoise (b899; d958)
12(1) Etienne (b895; d947)
1(A) Antoinette (b877; d943)
At the beginning of each line is a number which designates their relationship. For example Jean has the number 11 so is the first son of the first person (read left to right), Charles with the number 12 is the second son of the first person. If you wish to find the parents of an individual ignore the last number or letter in the code and find the person with that number, again for example 12 Charles, you take off the 2 and find the person with the code 1, that will be Charles' parent(s).
Females are given a letter code for them, example Françoise is 12A, so is the the first daughter of the second on of the first person.
Numbers or letters in parenthesis are illegitimate children, for example Antoinette 1(A) is the first illegitimate daughter of the first person.
In the section after a name, for instance (b850; d903) after Henri, this shows the years of birth (b) and death (d).
