Akelliath
Akelliath is located on the north coast of the island of Freisgau which is south of the continent of Shadlen. Akelliath is the most prosperous of the southern city-states of the Hradin peoples. This prosperity is due in large part to it being across several hundred miles of water from the mainland, which saved it from many of the deprivations that occurred to it's continental peers.
Government
:
Akelliath is run by an council of five who are known as the Sea Lords.

Places of Note :
Akelliath -
Bleak Hills - This small range of hills is located east of Hurest. Twenty-two years ago a man arrived in Akelliath with a sack of silver which he claimed to have found in these hills. This sparked great interest and the hills have been home to many people looking for riches. Most of these people come out empty handed but a few have found small deposits of silver and much more rarely gold.
Brean -
Girid -
Hurest - This small town has sprung up only in the last 20 years to cater to the needs of the prospectors that search the nearby Bleak Hills. There are under 100 permanent inhabitants, but the total population swells to over 500 during the annual silver festival.
Ikalan - Ikalan has a population around 2000 making it either the second or third (depending on if you count Valarn as one settlement or many) most populous in the city-state.
Malab - This town of 300 owes it's existence entirely to the lumber industry and supplies most of the wood for the capital.
Ulan - Located in the White Woods this tower is a refuge for local magic users.
Valarn - As the War of Telargen Succession progressed more and more refugees fled the continent and arrived at Akelliath. The local leaders felt that they did not want their towns overrun by these newcomers and decided to set up new settlements on the island of Valarn. Much of the island has now been settled, being home to between four and five thousand.
Besides the above locations there are numerous small settlements, typically being home to 1-10 families. These settlements rely entirely on farming or fishing.
