Thierry comes from a long time of courtiers, first of the imperial court of Anhkvaris and now of Nouvelle Vhaston.  His father was killed by while combating raiders when Thierry was very young.  Thierry went to live with his grandfather, who at the time was the Steward of House Vhaston.  Growing up listening to his grandfather's stories of the old empire stirred up a great desire in young Thierry to bring back the greatness of the past.

    Thierry rose up the ranks in the bureaucracy of of Nouvelle Vhaston, becoming Minister of Defense during the reign of  Seigneur Hughes.  Taking advantage of the degenerative disease that was ailing Seigneur Francois he had himself appointed Grand Seneschal, a position he has held since.

    With the current Seigneur's ascendance to power at the young age of 18, Thierry thought the time was ripe to begin the restoration of the empire.  Thierry's words fell on deaf ears, as the Seigneur has no wish to become emperor, but this has not stopped the Grand Seneschal.  He now moves behind the scenes to try to create circumstances that will increase the prestige of Nouvelle Vhaston and the it's eventual expansion.  If all else fails he has a backup plan of doing away with the current Seigneur and place the Seigneur's pro-empire younger brother as regent.  He is also currently trying to arrange a marriage of his daughter to the younger brother.

    This 59 year old is beginning to gray at the temples, though most of his great mass of hair is a reddish-brown.  He has shoulder length curly hair, a bushy beard which goes down to his stomach (which is slowly but steadily getting rounder) and a quite long mustache which is waxed to form great curls.
