We had several Setters
before him, but this dog is the
reason we decided to become breeders and that Irish
Setters would be our "forever" breed.
Hunter was not the "perfectly conformed" but he was a wonderful show dog, always giving a 110% performance. He Loved to show! The few times I traveled without him, he greeted me at the door and would grab my arm to show his displeasure at being left at home. He was first in his obedience class and when taken to a field demonstration, he performed so well, we were asked how many field legs we had on him; this dog that had never seen a quail before. Hunter was the smartest dog I have ever owned...smarter even then my German Shepherd and I knew I could do obedience and field with this dog. Obedience and field were those things I was going to do "someday"........but unfortunately "someday" never came. |

My heart dog...the love of my life....may the shamrocks fall softly my Sweet "Treasure" |

|
One April morning, the angels placed you
on this earth. Little did we know how much our lives would be changed by your birth. You made your presence known to us from the start, By almost forcing us to choose YOU to become a part of our heart. Your spirit....your zest for life Could only be equaled by your heroic attempt to hold on 'till we made it home through night. Always the light of our life, You loved to show so proudly in the ring, Always just to please mom, no matter what the ribbons might bring. While we will be blessed with many redheads in our life, None other will ever touch that special place, deep within our heart, Where only a "Treasure Hunter" would know where to start. For CH Kennlee Treasure Hunter April 29, 1995 - October 5, 2002 and forever..... Written by Gloria Bone, Debohun Irish Setters....his "Aunt" and frequent traveling companion. |

CH Sunshine's Remember When X CH Sierra Lyn White Diamonds
(Mar 97-Nov 07)

This is our Ali. She left us way too soon. She was the Princess/Queen/Empress of the Daventry den. She was regal in every way. No dog (male or female) in this house ever crossed her......she commanded every room she was ever in without making a fuss or a growl. Everyone just seemed to know she THE Queen.
Ali was beautiful! She had beautiful conformation and won many BOBs and a Puppy BIS, but it was never really her "thing"....so she was shown very limited.
We miss her terribly.

"Holly Noel"
(CH. Kennlee Silver Dollar Spechal X CH. Scarlly's Love of Kennlee)
(Dec 92 - Aug 06)

Holly was a beautiful girl and our first true conformation showdog. She flew through several points till one day she decided she didn't want to show anymore and we retired her to the couch. She, like all our dogs are family first, showdogs second and since she hated it so much, we let her stay home. She was incredibly smart and our toy 'hog'. No one else could play with a new toy until she was through....then the others could have it and she never played with it again.
Run and find all the new toys at the Bridge, Holly Noel!

VICTORY PARTY (CH. Kennlee Spechal E'Nuf X CH. Kennlee Momentum) This is Tom with "Scarlett", ...Tom's first Irish Setter. Scarlett was quite the little lady. Scarlett is responsible for introducing us to the local Irish Setter community in Fort Worth, Texas and getting us started in conformation showing. She was purchased for Catheryne, but was always Tom's girl. She was Tom's first Irish....she sold him on the others to come. 1991-2005 Before the internet and digital cameras we were owned by: Rusty - rescued (? - 1979) and Dynasty's Ryan (1980-1989) |
