Season Preview: Hopefully, Coach Plocki's Wolverines will return to the Super 6 in 2005, and be in the hunt for a national title with UCLA, Georgia, Utah, Stanford, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Alabama and others like Iowa State from the Big 12; Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon State and Washington in the PAC-10; Florida, LSU and Auburn in the SEC, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio State and Penn State in the Big 10; Central Michigan and Kent State in the MAC and independents like Denver (coached by former Wolverine assistant, Melissa Kutcher).

The Northeast Regional will be held at New Hampshire on April 9, 2005.

Ray is a returning All-American on Vault! Team average in 2003 was 49.09! We were consistent in this event, but not outstanding; there is definitely room for improvement.

UNEVEN BARS: Returning 2004 NCAA Champ Elise Ray (9.87 in 2002 and 9.896 in 2004), Jennifer Deiley (9.85 in 2003 and 9.77 in 2004), Lauren Mirkovich (9.74 in 2003 and 9.727 in 2004), Christine Mantilia (9.633 in 2002), Chelsea Kroll (9.44 in 2003 and 9.734 in 2004), Lindsey Bruck and Kara Rosella.

Ray was All-American on the Bars in 2001 and NCAA Champ in 2004! Mirkovich made 2nd team All-American in 2003. Team average in 2003 was 48.81! This was our weak event in 2003 (must improve)!

BALANCE BEAM: Elise Ray (9.85 in 2002 and 9.855 in 2004), Jennifer Deiley (9.80 in 2003), , Becca Clauson (9.73 in 2003 and 9.819 in 2004), Chelsea Kroll (9.69 in 2003 and 9.721 in 2004), Lindsey Bruck (9.823) and Kara Rosella (9.68 in 2003).

Ray was NCAA Champ on Beam in 2001, Clauson was an All-American in 2002 and Bruck in 2004! Team average in 2003 was 49.06!

FLOOR EXERCISE: Elise Ray (9.87 in 2002 and 9.885 in 2004), Jennifer Deiley (9.86 in 2003), Becca Clauson (9.82 in 2003 and 9.819 in 2004), Chelsea Kroll (9.76 in 2003), Lauren Mirkovich (9.71 in 2003), Linsdey Bruck (9.863), Carol McNamara (9.819 in 2004) and Christine Mantilia (9.80 in 2004).

Team average in 2003 was 49.30!

ALL-AROUND: Elise Ray (39.438 career is highest in Michigan history), Jennifer Deiley (39.34 in 2003), Chelsea Kroll (38.81 in 2003), Lindsey Bruck, etc.

Elise Ray had the highest average all-around scores in the NCAA for 2001 and NCAA Champ in 2002; Deiley is returning All-American in 2002! Team average was 196.25 in 2003 with 16 competitions!
