Our hero from Duke 1 - having defeated Dr. Proton last year - is relaxing in LA, raking in the money from his merchandise and television interviews - until he's abducted (while promoting his book Why I'm So Great) by the evil Rigelatins, who intend to transfer his brain patterns into their war computer to help them take over the world.
Duke is then sent to a holding cell to await his "almost-certain doom"...
After escaping, Duke is off to thwart the Rigelatins the only way he knows how - kicking ass.
