link from main page and added link to Janesville Gazette Extra.
- December 28, 2004
Added the Local Search & Regional Links page which is accessed from the main page with the
flaming wheel icon with the contents of the local links section copied to the new page. This frees up the local links
section of the main page for other purposes as desired and is in the process of being depreciated as such.

Urban Legends, MapQuest and Disinfopedia to Miscellaneous. Link fixed the BDN archives. Changed the Beloit Daily News

- May 2, 2004
Updated the style sheet and reworked some code resulting in a couple K of byte savings while making an easier time of
future design changes. More work remains but the page is functional if minimalist. Reduced page contrast somewhat. Fixed
a spelling error of "Gary Brechers" name and the "Fred on Everything" link now points to the meat instead of the fluff.
Also made some design and font changes to this page while dumping the external style sheet for the time being.
- May 1, 2004
Instituted a new look on the main page. This one is grayscale, the result of a CSS experiment to duplicate the old page that
wandered off track. The main problem with the old page was many links had gone belly up and rather than refill the spots
with similar working links or reformulate what there was, decided to shift gears slightly, reshape the experiment and
put that up. If you were using any links that didn't come over, there is a link to the old
page on the new one.
It seems to be working fine in Internet Explorer 5.5 and above, as well as Netscape 7 and Mozilla Firebird/Firefox.
That said there is code cleanup needing to be done, a few additional links need to be added and a couple may go away.
Topix is new but I haven't made up my mind if it will stay or not for example.
Code and Graphics is under 30K leaving room to expand without undo burden on dialup visitors. That said, this will probably
be one of the last pages (perhaps THE last) to fit within the width of an 800x600 screen as designed.
