Memorial Day weekend, 1998 and 2000, the tavern's bartender made a pilgrimage to our nation's capitol to visit 'the Wall' and see the sights. On Memorial Day of each year, Dewayne was good enough to have a few of us over for steaks, beverages, and his mom's prize winning 'red cake'....yummy.
