We were the children of the 1950s and John F. Kennedy’s young stalwarts
of the early 1960s. He told the world that Americans would
"pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship" in the defense of freedom.
We were the down payment on that costly contract, but the man who signed it
was not there when we fulfilled his promise. John F. Kennedy waited
for us on a hill in Arlington National Cemetery, and in time
we came by the thousands to fill those slopes with our white marble markers
and to ask on the murmur of the wind if that was truly the future he had envisioned for us.
- Lt. Gen. Harold G. Moore, USA (Ret.) and Joseph L. Galloway

The U.V.V. is the oldest Vietnam veterans-only organization in the state of Wisconsin. It was granted a state charter in April of 1981 as a non-profit organization. Based in Hartford, meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month at the Hartford VFW. Several fund raising activities are held through out the year to raise the money that is donated to many area groups. United Vietnam Veterans is also dedicated to the problems that directly affect the veteran, such as Agent Orange, PTSD, and obtaining the benefits to which they are entitled. The successful resolution of the POW/MIA issue is also of great importance to the organization, as well as keeping the public informed about any progress being made on these issues. If you would like more imformation about the United Vietnam Veterans or would like to become a member, email me.
