When I bought the car, it was already a great start for a good looking ride. Being that it was from the sunshine state, the body is very solid. It has a very small amount of surface rust, not a big deal. However, someone had previously destroyed the nice Santa Fe Blue color by bombing it silver. One of the main reasons I spent the time and money on this car is because it was originally the Santa Fe Blue, a classic color that I fell in love with after owning my first GLH a few year ago. The other main reason being that up here in the north, these cars don't last long once they see a season or two of salt on the winter roads. So I spent the extra time and money, and got myself a southern car that is solid! Since I don't plan to ever drive it in the winter, I should be alright.
The silver color just HAS TO GO! But the girl in back... she stays!
So I left the car at the shop for a few days, and it snowed! Like I mentioned before, I do NOT plan to drive this car in the snow & salt, so I pulled a favor from a friend of mine and we towed it back to my house. Nice and clean! However, upon pulling off the trailer, I proceeded to rip off what little of the exhaust existed. The car was a little too low, and the exhaust clamp caught the edge of the trailer and tore it off. Not a big deal, there was only about 3 feet of pipe and a muffler anyways. It needed redoing this spring anyways, and gave me a great reason to order that 2.5" mandrel bent system from FWD Performance!
The door frames were pretty ugly, so of course I wet sanded
them
down with a scouring pad... then used some black trim paint to
make them look new again!

Turned out really nicely I think!
