Tires

The stock 205/50/15 tires were pretty beat up upon purchase. I got some new tires for the rear, and kept the front Toyos that came with the car, they've got a good 2k miles left on them. Maybe...  Anyways, for track days I picked up a set of 14" wheels off of a Dynasty (I think) for some race tires. I got some 195-60-14 Falcon Alzenis RT-215s,  They were rated the #1 track day tire by Grass Roots Motor Sports last year, only to be beaten out by their replacement (the RT-615).

The 14" rims I have to mount these on are fairly ugly, but it's OK. Funtion over form this time. I'm considering sandblasting the 14's and painting them bronze.  I think it would look fairly good with the blue car.

Well, I decided against bronze and went with a two-tone silver.
The spokes are a light metallic silver, while the rest is a textured dark metallic silver.

They turned out very nicely I think!
 

Still need to clean up a bit of overspray, but overall they are more than
good enough for track day use primarily.
