Like I previously mentioned, the engine bay is a disaster to look at! apart from all the cleaning of physical parts, the wiring was a complete mess. I've started to clean that up as well. All of the connections were previously made with butt-connecters. I have since started to solder everything, then shrink wrap it. I plan to relocate the battery to the passenger side, and build a small black ABS plastic 'box' to contain all this excess wiring, fuse blocks, and power distribution block as well.

Since my battery was being moved to the passengar side, I made sure that all the wiring on the drivers side was nice and pretty. I installed my fused distribution block that has both positive and negative 4ga inputs, and 4-8ga outputs.

A Nice Grounding Spot For Everything Black
...and the most beautiful part of all... the cover!
I constructed this bad boy out of 1/8" black pvc plastic.
Started with a cardboard form to get the shape right, then traced and cut it out
of pvc...
then a little heat to bend it up
perfectly...
and I'm very pleased with the final product!

Battery Relocation and Mounting Bracket
I contracted my friend Andy at
VPT (Vollert
Performance Tuning) to weld up a nice
little battery tray to relocate my battery. Turned out great! Like always...
While I was cleaning everything else up, I decided to clean up all the lighting as well. I sandblasted & repainted the foglight brackets, cleaned up their wiring, and even repainted the chrome bezels around the headlights flat black so everything near the grill has a flat black finish! Should be really nice when it's all done. I don't mind paying attention to the small details!
