Mary's obituary (maiden name unknown) mentions she was born in Wilkes County, GA, around 1778. I do not have information about her parents.
Residence
Mary was possibly married to Micajah Wall by the time he appeared in a Muster Roll of the Militia Troop of Dragoons in Greene County, GA, in February 1794. He was issued a passport to leave Georgia with his family and enter the Missisippi
Territory in 1801, and is safe to assume Mary was with him. Micajah Wall is listed in the tax rolls of Vardeman's District in Washington County in the
Mississippi Territory from 1803-1804, so the family was in the area by then. Micajah Wall signed several petitions to the United
States Congress (in 1803, 1807, & 1809), which indicates the family was still in the Washington District of the Territory.
Spouse/Children
I have not found a marriage record for Micajah Wall and Mary but her obituary lists her birthplace as Wilkes County, GA, so it likely that married
somewhere near that area. Mary's age puts the earliest likely marriage date at 1793 and the birth of their son, John, puts the latest possible date at 1800.
A court case listed in the Mississippi Archives lists their minor children at the time of her husband's death death. (See the Guardian Bond transcript and the transcript
of the long letter from Ransom Jones in the miscellaneous section of the Wall page. After Micajah's death, James Dupriest
was granted guardianship of Mary's underage children. He and Mary Wall married sometime around 1816. Micajah's heirs later sued the administrator of their stepfather's estate, claiming
they were missing some of their inheritance from their father. Mary Wall Dupriest testified in the case.
