Land Deed between Robert Germany & Charles C. Germany

Robt. Germany To Chas. C. Germany

Know all men by these presents that Robert Germany of the County of Amite and State of Mississippi for and in consideration of the love and affection which I bear to my son Chas.. C. Germany and the sum of ten dollars to me in hand paid the receipt where I do hereby acknowledge have bargained sold and conveyed to the said Chas C. Germany his heirs and assigns a certain lot of land at Centreville in said County and State described as follows, to wit, commencing at the North West corner of a lot of land belonging to Anderson Daniels running North seventy yards to a stake thence East seventy yards to a stake thence South seventy yard to a stake, thence West along the Northern line of said lot of Anderson Daniels to the place of beginning, containing one acre. To have and hold the afore granted premises to the said Chas C. Germany his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever. And the title to said lot of land I will forever warrant and defend to the said Chas C. Germany his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all persons whomever - And I Caroline S. Germany wife of the said Robert Germany for and in consideration of the premises, and five dollars to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge doth hereby release all her right and title to Dower in the afore granted premises.

Given under our hands and seals this 5th day of January A.D. 1867.

State of Mississippi Amite Co. Jan. 5 1857
Personally appeared before me the undersigned Justice of the Peace Robt Germany on the 5th day of Jan1867 and acknowledge that he signed sealed and delivered the foregoing Deed as his own proper act. And thereupon also on this day Caroline S Germany Wife of said Robert Germany personally appeared and having been by me examined touching the execution of said deed privily and apart from her husband she declared that she voluntarily freely with knowledge of its contents and without any persuasion fear ____ or coercion of her said husband did sign seal and deliver the same on the day of its date as her own proper act for the purposes therein expressed.
