Obituary of John B. Germany
Death of John B. Germany
John B. Germany, age 79 years, dropped dead of a heart attack at his home Sunday morning, June 19th. He had been suffering with a heart ailment for the past few years.
Mr. Germany was a life-long resident of Newton County, was a member of the Camp Ground Methodist Church and an active Mason, and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was never married.
Surviving relatives are: Two brothers, I.W. Germany of Union and Dr. Henry Germany, of Waco, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Tidwell, of Neshoba, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Final rites were held Monday, June 20th, at 2:30 P.M., from Camp Ground Church, with Rev. A.M. O’Neil officiating, assisted by Rev. Govie Gordon. Active pall bearers were: E.V. Adams, R.L., Reid, David Gardner, L. McDill, H.Y. Walker, and Norman Sistrunk. Interment was in Camp Ground cemetery. Union Funeral Home in charge.
