Mr. and Mrs. J.I. Clearman of Richburg announce the marriage of their granddaughter, Doris May Thames, to Reese Wall, son of Mrs. W.M. Wall of Hattiesburg. The wedding was solemnized in he home of the Rev. W.P. Meador of Rawls Springs on Saturday, No.v 4, 1939, with Reverend Meador officiating.

Funeral services for Frank Thames, jr. [sic], 10, resident of Richburg, who died this morning at 3 o’clock from injuries received when he fell from a truck on the highway near Richburg Sunday morning will be conducted at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning at the residence of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.I. Clearman, Richburg. The Rev. R. H. Clegg, pastor of Broad Street Methodist church and the Rev. T.S. Entrekin, of Purvis will officiate.
Interment will be in Roseland park [sic] cemetery under direction of the Hattiesburg Undertaking company.
The child is survived by his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thames, one brother, Billy; three sister [sic], Florence Louise, Doris Mae and Emma Gene, Richburg; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clearman, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.M. Thames.

Mrs. Mary Josephine Giles, 80 years old, pioneer resident of Richburg, died at her home there this morning at 7:20 o'clock. She was the widow of S.W. Giles.
Mrs. Giles is survived by two sons, R.D. Giles of Hattiesburg, and J.T. Giles of Richburg, and four daughters, Mrs. J. D. Clearman of Richburg, Mrs. E.M. Hammer and Mrs. W.M. Boyd of Dallas and Mrs. J.L. McElreath of Ellisville, and a brother D.B. Thames, of Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at the Hickory Grove Baptist Chruch tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. A.L. O'Briant officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove cemetery. Burial will be under the supervision of the Hulett Undertaking company.

Mrs. Frank Thames, who died after a short illness at the South Mississippi Infirmary Christmas Day at 3:30 o’clock, was buried in Roseland Park Cemetery Sunday, following the funeral services which were held from the Thames residence on Eighth street. Rev. J.E. Willis and Rev. D.A. Youngblood jointly took charge of the services. She was 26 year[s] of age.
Mrs. Thames is survived by her husband, T.F. Thames; six children, three girls and three boys, the girls: Frances 9 years old, Doris, 7 and Clemogene [Emogene] 5; the boys: Frank Thames, Jr., 3 years old, and two 10-day-old twins; by her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. J.I. Clearmens [Clearman] of Richburg; one sister, Ethlyn Clearmens [Clearman] , Richburg; and four brothers, Floyd, Walter, Robert, and William Clearmens [Clearman], all of Richburg.

Frank Thames, about 50, son of Mrs. Thomas M. Thames, formerly of Hattiesburg, and the late Mr. Thames, died suddenly Sunday night in Jackson, according to word received here today.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Thames is survived by his wife and a number of children of Jackson; a brother, W.D. Thames of Meridian; and four sisters. He was a nephew of B.C. Thames of Hattiesburg.
Graveside services will be held at Richburg cemetery Tuesday, but the hour had not been set this afternoon.

Funeral services for Tommy Boyd Thames, two months old son of T.F. Thames, 128 West Eighth Street, were held from the residence Sunday afternoon, following the child’s death from an attack of pneumonia. The Revs. J.E. Willis, pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church and D.A. Youngblood, of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in Roseland Park Cemetery.
The dead child’s mother, Mrs. T.F. Thames, died last Christmas Day, leaving Tommy and his twin brother, born on December 11.

Emma Jean Stratton, 59, entered into rest April 4, 1981 in Houston. Born in Lamar County, Mississippi, December 2, 1921. Former resident of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, lived in Houston since 1964. Survived by: daughters, Brenda Hartfield of Houston, Mary Wynne of Palestine, Texas and Barbara Gaddis of Tomball; sons, Gibson Carter of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Anthony Treloar of Greensbourough, North Carolina, Jerry Acosta of Bay City, Texas and Michael Acosta of Kileen, Texas; sister, Doris Wall of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; ten grandchildren. Services Tuesday, April 7, 1981, 11:00 a.m., Chapel of the Garden, with Reverend Emmett Hunt officiating, interment in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Pallbearers are J.D. Mrs. Frances Thames Acosta of Kileen, Texas, formerly of Hattiesburg died Saturday morning in a Kileen hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Frank Thames and Mrs. Mae Clearman Thames.
Burial wil[l] be Monday in Kileen, Texas.
Mrs. Acosta who served in the WAC’s had retired after thirty years service.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Acosta; two adopted sons, Jerry of Pascagoula, Miss and Mike of Austin Texas; two sisters, Mrs. R.G. (Doris) Wall of Hattiesburg and Mrs. Emma Jean Stratton of Houston, Tex.; an Aunt, Mrs. E.F. Bainter and an uncle, Mr. W.D. Clearman, both of Hattiesburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
