Minutes of 1-14-12 Baxter Bass Snatchers Meeting

 

Meeting called to order by President Art Becker.

President Becker gave an update on Dave Maas’s condition.  It will be a long recovery but Dave is getting stronger and has more movement in hands and arms.  

 

Old Business, none.

New members were introduced by the members who introduced them to the club.

Trophies, discussion was held on where to get trophies for this year. Everyone seemed to like the style of trophies we had this year and would like to keep that style for next year. Dwight H. will get price estimates for next meeting.

Christmas Party, Herman will contact a number of places and get cost estimates for party.  Those places: Ernie’s on Gull, Fort Steakhouse, St. Mathias and the Elks Lodge. He will report back at next meeting.

Treasurers report; we have $3630.00 in account and have not collected any dues yet this year.

Motion by Herman, 2nd by Dennis L. to have dues stay at $70.00 per person, approved.

 

Officers, motion by Nate S., 2nd by Dwight H. to maintain the slate of officers we have this year with Herman filling in as temporary secretary. Herman will also be the Tournament Director this year with Charlie as an assistant.

Motion by Pat K., 2nd by Ed Ott, to donate $75.00 to Brainerd Parks and Recreation for a Kids Fishing Day, approved.

 

Herman reported on DNR poll about bass fishing that will be going out in April 2012.  He also reported on the Invasive Species issue that is looming on the horizon.

 

Motion by Pat K., 2nd by Chuck F. to schedule a club event on Lake Hubert.  The details will be worked out at the next meeting.  This event will NOT replace a tournament.  Motion approved.

After much discussion the following lakes and dates have been proposed.  These lakes and dates are subject to change at the next meeting.
