Agent DM (15)

Below are some general chemistry facts about Agent DM

Chemical name- Diphenylaminochloarsine
Common names- Adamsite or "vomiting gas"
MW- 277 g/mol
LC50- 1500 mg/m^3

DM was created by an American chemist by the name of Roger Adams in 1913. It contains about 27% arsenic and is known as the most dangerous riot gas. DM was primarily deployed by grenade, and takes about 6 minutes to take effect. It has no odor and, when crystallized, is a yellow solid. DM is cheaply prepared by mixing diphenylamine with arsenic trichloride, however military grade product used was very impure, with a large variety of contaminants. DM causes watery nasal discharge, sneezing, followed by severe pain in the chest area and vomiting. DM has also been known to cause some sensory disturbances as well as death, although there is no reliable toxicity data available.
