An Overview of Chemical & Biological
Warfare In South East Asia

During the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts

No presentation about South East Asia would be complete with out at least touching on the reasons why the US got involved. Though the triggers for each conflict vary in history the underlying reason is the same - "The Red Scare".

"The Red Scare", more colloquially know as McCarthyism was the fear that communist where taking over the world and infiltrating the United States. This paranoia led the United States into the Foreign Policy Plan know as the Domino Effect.

The Domino Effect stated that all the countries in South East Asia are linked. If one of them was to fall to Communism then then, like a row of dominos lined up. They all would. (44-49)
