Strange things indeed...
Well
, this picture isn't the strange things but that's okay. If you click on it you will go to a cafepress shop I ran across that has quite a bit of pirate type clothing. It's all the celebrate September 19th being International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Since I seem to forget that every year until it's too late I thought I'd help out to remind everyone else and give them a chance to get a little clothing for the occasion.
The third weekend of the Minnesota Renaissance festival is now over and we are coming up to the forth. I won't be out there this coming weekend but I'm sure I'll be okay. I've been out there most of the last 3 weekends and that has been great! The last weekend was rainy for the most part but as usual I had a fun time with it. I spent time talking with old friends and several new friends. I managed to see a couple of shows and even wander around and see a few shops and what not.
The oddest thing happened on Sunday. I had run into someone a couple of times throughout the day that I had remembered from previous years - he's easy to remember he wears clothing made entirly out of burlap. I was back at King of the Log hanging out I noticed him walk by a few times. I decided to talk with him for a minute and I found out what he was looking for - Whack a Peasant. He had remembered it from the previous year and was looking for it. Up until that point I really didn't think anyone cared. Heck I didn't even bother to dig it out of my garage this year to look at it. The joke was fun the first year or so but it never really caught on as well as I had hoped for. It really did make me happy though that someone came from Iowa and they thought it was enough of a highlight of their trip last year to look for again. I told him I'd see what I could do to get it out there again next year when they show up. Hopefully it'll still be in one piece.
Well, lots of other things happened over the last couple weekends but I think I should cut this short or else no one will ever bother to read it.
