Well, it's thursday and nothing is looking good.

Well, to back up a little bit in the week - I found out Monday night that my Dad went into the hospital that day. They knew very little at the time then but as of a few minutes ago an Ambulance is coming in to take him to a bigger hospital. Somehow the little hospital is Hibbing isn't going to be enough for him so he's going to Duluth where they will be able to help him out more. Up until now I've gotten the impression that it's serious but everything is going to be okay. But this suddenly sinks in that it's pretty bad. Leia and I are going to head up there as soon as she can get home from work - she's leaving early and should be here within the hour. This really isn't good at all. Basically he's been filling up with fluids and they aren't going anywhere. His heart is in pretty bad shape right now and he is suffering from congestive heart failure. It can be managed with medication but at this point they have yet to get anything under control. He is also diabetic and lost a leg because of that a couple of years ago. Life just keeps throwing bad stuff at us it seems but somehow everyone gets through it. Well, I have to get ready to drive up there - it's about a 3 hour drive but I don't really know when I'll be getting home. I'm supposed to work tomorrow at noon but we'll see.
