This is a blog about little old me. I am 34 years old as I write this. I work in the retail side of the home improvement industry. I have several college degrees most notably Computer Science and Mathematics. I can juggle and I tend to do quite a bit of theatre work when I have free time. You can find out more about me on my website.

Here is a great article that is listed as George Carlin's last interview. It was done 10 days before his death.
George Carlin's Last Interview | Psychology Today Blogs
By this time most everyone knows that George Carlin has died. Of all the things that have happened in my life this is probably one of the saddest just after losing my Dad. Sadly they both died from a heart problem. They are two great people who influenced my life in many ways that I will never be able to see again. A couple of weeks ago Blues legend Bo Diddley died and it hit me that there are a lot of performers that I would love to see live that I won't be able to anymore and I should get my butt in gear to see them. George Carlin was one of the first that came to mind though I hadn't gotten tickets yet for August when he was supposed to be in this area again. Unfortunatly that time won't come again. Now I have to work hard to get to see the next group on my list - Penn and Teller.
It's hard to think that I won't be flipping by HBO one night and find a new George Carlin show. I will still see many of his old shows but that will be all. He had so much to say that will now be cut off. He had a unique way of looking at the world. But his biggest talent was that of a story teller. He could explain these crazy ideas in such a way that you couldn't turn away. Even if you thought he was insane you still wanted to hear what he said. My Dad also had this ability to capture your interest.
When famous people die it usually doesn't hit me very hard. For some reason not having George Carlin around anymore really makes the world a bleak place to me. As usual I'll get past these feelings and life will continue as it did before he died. But it will take a while.
