Somethings Afoot

This set was done for a small professional theatre in Bemidji - The Paul Bunyan Playhouse. It was done as summerstock and it this was our opening production. There were 6 shows over the course of 2 1/2 months. It rounded out to about 2 weeks per set. It was a hectic time and didn't pay a whole lot, but I discovered that even with the crazy hours and the small pay I still liked the work and want to persue it in the future. This set was fun since it had quite a few gimmicks and gizmos that needed to be rigged. Anything from rotating bookcases to exploding steps. Basically every part of the set did something. If that wasn't enough for a short construction time and a small stage there were also about 10 doors that all needed to work. In the end we finished it with time to spare and everything worked out.
