Jill Winn Fund

On July 19, 2004, James Winn passed away (see obituary below). He left behind a wife, Jill, and four children, ages 12, 5, 3 and 1. James was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas. We, the members of Westminster, are trying to support Jill as she transitions to a new life without James.

James Richard Winn 1970 - 2004

James Richard Winn, 34, loving husband, father of four and friend to everyone he met, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 19, 2004.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Trail Lake Drive, Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth.

James was born May 6, 1970, in Garden City, Mich. James was a veteran of the Gulf War. After the Army, he returned to Fort Worth, where he met and married his wife, Jill, in July 1997. He was a loving and caring father who loved to play with his four children before falling asleep with one of them at his side. James could make lifelong friends in a matter of minutes. Even his customers would become his friend and keep in touch with James for years even after they didn't need his professional services. James also loved the outdoors and was a hunter and fisherman. He loved to cook and always had enough food for anyone who showed up at dinnertime. He was truly a friend to everyone he met. James was preceded in death by his father, Garry Ellis Winn.

Survivors: Wife, Jill Winn; son, Logan Winn; daughters, Libby, Lisa and Jennifer Winn; mother, Cheryl Winn; grandmother, Isabell Winn; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Paula and Tony DiNicola; brother-in-law, Danny Bailey; sister-in-law, Tory DiNicola; brother-in-law, John Lovette and wife, Kennedy; nephew, Matthew Bailey; and niece, Grayson Lovette.
