Down Island is a single family beach house vacation rental
located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills on the warm water
shores of coastal North Carolina. The cottage is a
nonsmoking house, and pets are not permitted. Down
Island has three bedrooms with two queen beds and a pyramid
bed along with a queen sofa sleeper.
Down Island is 600 feet from the Atlantic ocean and is fully
furnished with all the amenities of home. You'll
easily lose yourself in the moment and leave your worries
behind. You’ll find your stay so relaxing that you'll never
want to leave and will come back again and again.

the beach house and all of the amenities you'll find inside.

Down
Island House Rules

We
want your stay Down island to be a pleasant one. We
understand that you come to the beach to relax from
the everyday stresses of life and ask that you be
considerate of others, so that everybody can enjoy
the splendor of the Outer Banks.

Down island is a nonsmoking house and pets are not
permitted. |
|
|
There is ample parking in the driveways and under
the house. |
|
|
Trash is collected on THURSDAY mornings from
Memorial Day through Labor Day (Tuesdays only during
the off-season). |
|
|
Trash receptacles may be put out on Sunday and
Wednesday nights
only. After trash pickup, trash receptacles must be
promptly returned to under the house. Down Island
guests are responsible for putting out and taking in
trash receptacles. |

|
Use legitimate beach accesses and DO NOT WALK ON ANY
PART OF THE DUNES. Walking on the dunes can erode
them and put the island and property at risk during
severe weather and high tides.

|
Down Islanders care about preserving the
environment, and if each of us do our small part, we
can make a difference. |

Canvas grocery bags provided to limit the number of
plastic bags that make it to our landfill. |
Although the city does not provide curbside
pickup of recyclables, we provide a recycle bin. You may
take the recyclable to the
city
recycling center
at your convenience.
