1. What is TRS ?
   
    TRS stands for Trunked Radio Systems. A type of system that is generally used by UHF and 800 Mhz

2.Where can I find frequencies for my local Fire, Police Departments,etc.
   
    Well one place to find frequencies of your local departments is of course the frequency listing here on this site.
Well you can search the internet. You can ask any ham operator. Buy a Police Call Guide from your
local Radio Shack. Just  to name few places where you can find frequencies.

3. Can I repeat what I have heard over my scanner to another person ?
In one word NO, It is a violation of Federal Law to repeat or wise use the information you get by listening  to a police scanner.

4. What I can hear on a typlical scanner ?
 You can hear a lot of services  such Law Enforcement, Fire -EMS, Businesses, Sport Events, News Remotes,etc.

5. Can I listen to Celluar and Cordless telephones ?
According to the laws currently enforce. the answer is NO. It is illegal listen to any Celluar or Cordless telephone
conversations in the United States.

6. Can I have a scanner in my car?
 Yes but you need to check local and state laws regarding such use.

7. On average how much does a typical scanner cost ? Well actually depends on the scanner and its features. You
may get one starting around $ 50 dollars or so and up.
