HEALTH

All our puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian and inoculated with the appropriate vaccinations. Stool checks have been done on at least one occasion.

It is understood that, at the time of sale, this puppy has been evaluated by the breeder with respect to other representatives of the breed at approximately the same age and has been determined to be structurally and temperamentally suited to be at least a companion, agility and/or obedience dog. This puppy is guaranteed to be healthy upon delivery to the buyer, and a full refund will be given for any puppy found to be unhealthy within three (3) days of purchase, provided the following is met.

Upon receipt of your new puppy, the new owner must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 days. If the puppy is determined to be unhealthy upon examination by the veterinarian, the animal and a written doctor’s statement as to why the animal is unsound must be returned to the breeder immediately. This examination is at the expense of the new owner and you should refuse any treatment you don’t intend to be responsible for.

A replacement puppy will be provided (if available) or, if you choose, the original "purchase price" will be promptly refunded. Failure to have the puppy examined within three (3) days or contacting the breeder about the puppy within one (1) day will result in a void of the guarantee.

RETURN AGREEMENT

The buyer agrees that if he/she is unable to keep this puppy, he/she will not dispose of this dog through any “kill” shelter or animal control facility. The buyer agrees to first contact the breeder, who will either accept the dog on a return basis or attempt to find a suitable alternative home for the dog. This does not imply a financial commitment on the part of the breeder. Our puppies are placed in responsible homes with responsible people. Your dog is your responsibility.

SPAY or NEUTER

All puppies should be spayed or neutered when they reach their appropriate age. Our puppies are sold with AKC Limited Registration to prevent them from harsh breeding situations. A dog registered with an AKC Limited Registration is still eligible to be entered in any licensed or member event including: Obedience, Tracking, Field Trials, Hunting Tests, Herding, Lure Coursing, Agility and Earthdog. Under special request to the AKC by the breeder, the limited registration can be amended.

PROPER CARE AND TREATMENT

Dog owners bear a special responsibility to their canine companions to provide proper care and treatment at all times. Proper care and treatment include: an adequate and nutritious diet, clean water, clean living conditions, regular veterinary care, kind and responsive human companionship, and training in appropriate behavior. Dogs should not be kept in circumstances where these needs cannot be adequately fulfilled.

All states require that dogs wear licenses; the fee is minimal.  A licenses attests that a dog has had a rabies shot and states where it was administered, and it ensures at least one type of identification if a dog is lost. Most areas have poop clean-up ordinances, leash laws, nuisance laws, and other reasonable regulations designed to ensure that dogs and their owners remain respected members of their communities. This is all part of being a responsible dog owner.

PRICING

Pricing is based on the individual puppy. Some prices may appear on the web site and some may not. There may be any number of reasons for this. We are only an email away. Please ask. A NON REFUNDABLE deposit of $200 is required to hold a puppy.

PAYMENT

We do not accept credit cards. We hope our puppies are a thought out, planned out purchase. Payment may be in cash, personal check, cashier's check, or money order. Sufficient time must be allowed for payment method to clear before the puppy will be released.

SHIPPING

Our first preference is to welcome you in to our home to meet your breeder, visit mom and dad, and play with your new puppy. A round trip airline ticket bought in advance with a return ticket for your puppy, can be less expensive than shipping your puppy as cargo. Having said this:

  • We will only ship under favorable conditions
  • We only ship to major airports
  • The length of the journey must not be excessive
  • It must be possible to pick the puppy up immediately at the destination
  • Weather conditions must be favorable
  • The charge for shipping a small puppy is generally $350.00. This includes the ticket, crate and special health certificate. A larger puppy may be more or circumstances might make it less. All applicable shipping fees and full amount due on the puppy must be paid before shipping arrangements will be made.
