Here's the latest from Piet Sielck and Iron Savior, CONDITION RED– yet another Power Metal masterpiece. Iron Savior are one of the most consistently great bands in Metal right now, and this album proves that. Continuing the story of the spacecraft known as the "Iron Savior," CONDITION RED tells the tale of a scientist in the year 3597 who builds a computer to control the Iron Savior so that it can defend Atlantis from its enemies. The story has been ongoing since the first album, and while I haven't kept up with every detail, I can say that it is a cool story. Being a sci-fi fan, I really love the concept that Piet has put together through the years with this band. If you dig sci-fi, I highly recommend you check out all the Iron Savior albums. I can see this really paying off in the end, with some sort of movie or book based on the albums.

Iron Savior is one of the classiest bands out there. Great songs, great production and really solid, enjoyable albums from beginning to end. And Piet has one of the most distinctive voices in Metal, enhanced by his soaring choruses in every song. The songs are all fast-paced and way up-tempo...no somber stuff can be found on an Iron Savior album.

Standout tracks on CONDITION RED include "Titans of Our Time," "Protector," "Warrior," "Mindfeeder" and the title track. Brilliant stuff, including a cover of Seal's "Crazy" that is really cool. If you are a fan of Helloween or Gamma Ray, you will love Iron Savior, who are from the same school of Power Metal. Kai Hansen was an original member of the band and helped Piet get the ball rolling.
