I was blown away back in 1999 by GR's POWERPLANT, and I wasn't sure they could top it. Powerplant is an epic, killer album with no throwaway tracks. The band released its impressive Best-Of compilation BLAST FROM THE PAST last year and strongly staked its claim as one of Power Metal's all-time giants. Now, Kai Hansen and Gamma Ray waste no time in striking while the iron is hot with their first album on Metal-Is/Sanctuary Records. NO WORLD ORDER! is everything you are looking for....bombastic choruses, amazing guitars and perfect drums! It may be hard to swallow, but...Gamma Ray have topped Powerplant...This is a great album. They start things off with the compulsory intro "Induction," a segue into "Dethrone Tyranny," a punishing, powerful tune that shows off the band's speed and melodic abilities. From that they go into "The Heart of the Unicorn" and "Heaven or Hell." What can I say? Every track is better than the last! They still know how to milk a chorus to perfection and leave you begging for more!!! Also, Gamma Ray once again deliver with killer album art and graphics. NO WORLD ORDER! will definitely be in my top 10 albums of the year.
