Reviews by Dr. Metal
The state of Metal is STRONG!!!! The stars are aligning. Rob has rejoined Judas Priest and The Ripper (hopefully) has joined Iced Earth. Metal is getting stronger everyday, and I'm talking about real Metal bands with real talent. The world is ours! Here's what I have to recommend this time...

DUNGEON – A RISE TO POWER
2003 Limb Records Buy at: www.theendrecords.com
Limb does it again! The perfect Metal band...an awesome screaming singer, precision double bass drumming and crunching guitars. Do whatever it takes to get this CD in your hands. The anthemic choruses and production alone make this worth every penny. Power Metal that can only only be described as punishing, uplifting and inspiring. Awesome artwork as well. An all around masterpiece. Now I know why they are the biggest band in Australia. The hidden track (cover of Queensryche's "Queen of the Reich") is amazing. Well done!

MYSTIC PROPHECY – REGRESSUS
2003 Nuclear Blast Buy at: www.theendrecords.com
Yet another band featuring guitar wizard Gus G...but Mystic Prophecy are more than just a side band for him. MP is as good as Firewind and Dream Evil. (I have one song by his newest band, Nightrage. More on that when it comes out.) MP are mainly Power Metal but border more on thrash than the beforementioned bands. Great stuff, I love it. If you like Gus' other bands, you probably will too.

RICK RENSTROM – UNTIL THE BITTER END
2003 Mascot Records
Easily one of the most gifted guitarists I have ever had the pleasure of seeing live and meeting, Rick has unleashed his solo effort UNTIL THE BITTER END. Rick is inspired by Yngwie, Ritchie Blackmore, Uli John Roth, Ronni LeTekro, etc. (in other words, real shredders!) and you can hear it in his playing. This album features 11 songs, 5 of which feature vocals. All the songs are good, but the ones with vocals are the most interesting, which feature Wade Black (Crimson Glory, Seven Witches), Rob Rock (vocal master) and Mat Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner). Other players include Richard Christy (Iced Earth) on drums and Stephen Elder (Rob Rock) on bass.

GRAVE DIGGER – RHEINGOLD
2003 Nuclear Blast Buy at: www.theendrecords.com
OK, I admit I waited too long to get this one. WOW! This is a must have. I don't know what else to say about it. If you don't like this album, just quit listening to Metal. That's it.
