Peg Daniels grew up in the Midwest, and she came to the South to obtain a Ph.D. in math. In addition to the degree, she acquired a math professor. Retiring early from her own career as a math professor at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, she’s turned to creative writing. Her published works in both fiction and creative nonfiction appear on these pages. A couple of short stories have won awards in writing competitions, and her soon–to–be–published story “Dixie Dawn” was a finalist in the prestigious Black Warrior Review Fiction Contest. The “Auburn version” of her short story, “My Sister, A Girl,” has been anthologized in Chinaberries and Crows.
Peg lives in Auburn with her one husband (the above-mentioned math professor) and two cats. She loves massage and meditation and swimming.
